For this action project we had to create a series circuit with a parallel switch and five resistors. Some of the resistors we used were motor a speaker and a lightbulb. We learned about how not to short-circuit our circuits. We also learned about the flow of electrons protons and neutrons, this helped us understand how electrons flow through circuit. We also covered Ohm's law in this unit this helped us calculate things like amps and voltage. To get some inspiration for action projects we studied alternate current and direct current to competing styles of electricity one was invented by Thomas Edison and the other by Nikola Tesla. By better understanding these two forms of electricity it allowed us to better create our circuits. We also did research on how we can make our circuit more energy efficient by doing research about eco-efficient products on energy Star.
All in all I really enjoyed creating my circuit some things I would've done differently or make the circuit board with more detail and more cut out so would be easier to see the switch and other aspects and motors. I also would've been sure to build my circuit larger with more batteries and even more resistors. I also would like to take more time to compare what exact eco-friendly appliances use similar circuits to the one that I created.
